THE NIGHT Melanie C első EP-jének, amely Jodie Harsh drag queennel, DJ-vel és producerrel közösen jelent meg. Az EP világszerte digitálisan jelent meg az iTunes-on keresztül, és a számlistáján három olyan dal szerepel, amelyeket a duó a The Sea album gyártása során készített, de ezek nem kerültek be a lemezre. Az EP a hivatalos kislemezlistán a 159., az Egyesült Királyság független kislemezlistáján pedig a 16. helyen debütált. Mivel kislemezként adták el az iTunes-on, a Set You Free című számmal került be a listákra. 2012. május 30-án Melanie C és Jodie Harsh ingyenesen kiadták a Set You Free és a Sunrise című dalok kiterjesztett mix változatát.
Melanie C: „Büszke vagyok rá, hogy milyen jól fogadták, mert Jodie-val jó barátok vagyunk, és a közös munka igazán szórakoztató volt, tudod? Nagyon élveztük az elkészítését, és nagyon elégedettek vagyunk azzal, hogy minden így alakult. Mindkettőnknek sok rajongója van, akik nagyon szeretik a tánczenét, és nemzetközi szinten jobb, mint azt el tudtuk volna képzelni, szóval nagyon büszke vagyok arra, hogy mindenki ennyire szereti."
Jodie Harsh „Ha az emberek a Sunrise és a Set You Free dalokra akarnak táncolni, és egy kicsit lazább pillanatokat akarnak eltölteni a Walk Aaway-vel, akkor örülünk. Ez egy különleges „kapszula” projekt, ha úgy tetszik. Az együttműködés. Nem azért csináltuk, hogy felrobbantsuk a slágerlistákat, vagy átalakítsuk Melanie zenei stílusát, csak együtt akartunk dolgozni és egy tánclemezt készíteni.”
